Kidnapping the Laird – for Kindle and Nook, NOW!

terribrisbin_kidnappingthelaird_400px OMHIGOSH! Isn’t it pretty?

I’ve decided to release KIDNAPPING THE LAIRD (from the recent collection of Mammoth Book of Scottish Romance) in digital formats for both the Amazon Kindle and the B&N Nook. Kim Killion (of Hot Damn Designs and author extraordinaire!) did the cover for me, using an actual photo from my trip to Scotland. See that little stone house — there! next to the gorgeous man’s muscular arm? That was the inspiration for my story so I’m thrilled that Kim could use it.

So – what’s this about? Well. . .

Catriona MacDonnell is a wife of convenience who discovers that she wants more from the handsome, sexy laird she had to marry.  Padruig Grant was not happy when his wife kicked him out of her bed, but his pride prevents him from returning to it. When Catriona takes matters…and her husband…into her own hands to claim the love they both deserve, should he resist her valiant efforts or should he surrender?

So, if you have a Kindle or Nook, I hope you’ll give it a try!

BTW – I’ll have an exciting bit of news soon about a special project coming from Harlequin Mills & Boon!

Sneak Peek – Mistress of the Storm

It’s not the final cover but my editors gave this to me over the weekend — isn’t it simply stunning? It’s a July 2011 release:

mistress-of-the-storm

The back cover blurb says:

An epic struggle for dominance is ravaging the Isle of Skye. And in its midst, a man and a woman are locked together by fate—and fantasy…

Odious though it is, Isabel knows what she must do: go to the one known as the Healer, seduce him, and recruit him to her power-hungry stepfather’s cause. If she refuses, her innocent young sister will pay the terrible price of her disobedience. Yet after just one night with the man she must manipulate, it is clear to Isabel that even if she succeeds, the deceit will not leave her unscathed. For in the Healer’s powerful arms, her heart is lost forever…

Duncan of Skye knows there are those who would use his unusual gift for their own selfish gain. Even so, he yearns to trust the beautiful temptress who warms his bed and fills him with insatiable passion. And when he must choose between her future and his own, he may have to risk everything—even his life…

What do you think?

RomCon Reader’s Crown Contest – I’m a Finalist!! Twice!!

Maybe it was appropriate that I was in Ann Arbor MI this week and visited the flagship Borders store? I found my brand new release on the shelves and signed the copies while visiting. (I was on a job trip to the University of Michigan Dental School for a few days….). Here’s a photo — borders-annarbor-and-undone-apr29

And then, in a nice turn of events, I got the call on my way home from the organizers of RomCon (a romance readers website, forum, convention and contest) that both of my 2009 books – A STORM OF PASSION from Kensington Brava AND THE CONQUEROR’S LADY from Harlequin Historicals — are finalists in the Best Short Historical Romance category of the Reader’s Crown Contest. The convention and the contest is being co-sponsored by Borders so, as I said, a nice twist to things this week!

The winners will be announced at the convention which is being held July 8-10 in Denver CO…. Maybe I’ll see you there? For more info, check out their website – www.romconinc.com

This is book 2 of my Knights of Brittany trilogy and it definitely has the feeling of the one created for book 1 – The Conqueror’s Lady.. what do you think?

This will be out in July — so I hope to be signing it at the RWA Conference book signing in Nashville… Hope you’ll stop in if you’re in the area…

Since this is my ‘home’ RWA chapter and I’ve been involved there since joining in 1995 as everything from President to Board member to Programs Chair, it was a really treat to win.

Thanks to all the contest committee people and especially to the chairperson, Lyn Wagner, who managed to keep it a secret from me for weeks! The award is a beautiful carved glass ‘trophy’ that now sits next to my RITA finalist flag on my shelf…

Wooohooo…..er…..I mean HUZZAH!

The Conqueror’s Lady

I’ve been head-down, writing for a deadline and haven’t been celebrating the release of THE CONQUEROR’S LADY!! It’s out now — it hit the shelves about a week ago and thanks to everyone who’s already bought it and sent me comments.

I just got a great review from BOOKLIST – the American Library Association’s journal — and I’m THRILLED! Here’s the best part:

“Brisbin brews up an expertly crafted medieval romance with a dangerous hero and a smart, stubborn heroine.”

If you do pick it up (and it’s available in print, digital and even Kindle editions), please let me know what you think!

Terri (the Tired – finished Brice’s story at 4:30am today)
